PMA a lot of people don´t know what is PMA, so what is PMA?? PMA means -Positive Mental Attitude- and there is one hardcore band which represents this term 100%!! This band is called H2O. The band has been around for so many years playing music, being real to their roots and making friends everywhere in the world. This time Hearingthevoice made an interview with the whole band talking at the same time which honestly was really entertaining and informative.

H2O started when most of you were at your mid-20´s nowadays most of the “punk rockstars” are from 18 to 22 years old would you rather started H2O in your teenage years?
H2O: we started the band when we all were on different ages some started with 19, others mid 20´s and even some others at 30. but as kids we had to do a lot of other things and in the case of H2O we really appreciate that we started a little bit late, we skipped college and honestly I think this is our career.
Right now there are many trends in the HC scene, for example there are bands influenced by Metallica, Pantera and other wave influenced by bands like Samiam or Hot Water Music, on which of these trends H2O feels more identified?
H2O: The hardcore scene we grew up with was hardcore punk which it was already melodic, so for us melodic hardcore is the reason that we started the band and that´s why we are here, but in another perspective there are some other awesome bands like Black flag, Circle jerks, Dead Kennedys.
Did you watch the video of Ben Weasel´s incident at south by southwest? and 
what do you think about it?
H2O: Yes, Yes we did and I think hitting a woman is the worst and we don´t back it at ALL, I mean like punching a woman is not cool, it doesn´t make you any cool neither, we don´t back that at all. “(Now just Rusty Pistachio talking) Let me tell you a story about Ben Weasel, we played a free show in ´99 when I used to play with my band called Images and Ben Weasel at the end of the show was like “We didn´t get paid, we didn´t get paid” cause the Images are rolling, thenI saw Ben Weasel at the toilets and I told him why was he complaining? we didn´t get any dime for that show and then Ben Weasel was apologizing like I´m sorry, I´m sorry, like a little weasel and when I saw him punching a girl then I remember that incident we had in ´99, so he didn´t grow up since then hahaha, he was a weasel then and he is still a weasel now” If you hit up a girl H2O will never back you.
When will you release your next work?
H2O: Is coming out in August and is a covers album we will cover some songs of The Descendents, Sick Of It All, Mighty Bosstones, Circle Jerks, Ramones, The Clash, and some other bands is gonna be called “Don´t forget your rules”
This question is for Toby, Which was your first and which is your last tattoo?
Toby: My first tattoo was a token angel tattoo it was really bad so I had to cover it up and my last tattoo I got a tattoo here on my senior finger as you see.
Is there any goal that H2O haven´t accomplished yet?
H2O: Play in Africa would be cool or maybe China but well this place tonight(Vienna) is done so we are retiring hahaha, New Zealand would be cool too or Mexico we have never been in Mexico. We would love to play in Mexico you just get sure that you won´t have us kidnapped or around drug dealers and we will surely tour Mexico. Seriously we get a lot of e-mails from mexican fans and we are really eager to go there but well we almost live in Mexico, we live in California so basically is Mexico hahaha.
