Depending on your last release, How would you describe Panteon Rococo´s sound?
Paco: We never ever tried to clasify our music in just one genre, for us is just the Panteon´s sound and that´s it. And to try to find a definition of it is not easy.
Which are the main differences between European tours and Mexican tours?
Paco: Wll in Mexico we are on tour all the time from thursday to saturday, sometimes even sunday, and all the time are different organizers and every show is different organization wise, and here in Europe everything is planned with a few months of anticipation and we have for example rent a bus, 18 persons fly from Mexico then in Germany 3 more guys join us and is an everyday show, one day after another in a different city the way our manager traced it 5 or 6 months befre we arrived, that´s what makes a huge difference to Mexican organizations, and is here in Europe and Germany where we play more often, because the scene is really big and we are able to play on monday and tuesdays as well, in Mexico that´s not easy so thanks to that we can rent a bus and travel city by city every day for 1 month and somtimes 1 and a half month.
How hard is for the band to be so far away from Mexico?
Paco: What it makes it really hard is to be away from the family, for some of us who already have a family is not easy and is probably not the fact that you miss your kids, your wife, but the fact that you are needed in Mexico and well the rest of the family give us a hand and well we miss the food too, today we were lucky here in Vienna and we ate at the Jalisco mexican restaurant where we have been already a few times and honestly is a bit of oxygen for us. The food here is very good too but we will always miss a tortilla, spicy salsa a chilli etc…
How the feeling differs from playing in front of thousand europeans than to play massive shows in Mexico?
Paco: I think that is exactly what make our music so variable, I think if we could have never this tours we could be bored by now, because we are coming to Europe since 10 years ago and every time we come we go to a city that we have never been before, for example this year is the first time that we will play in Italy and is all the time this weird feeling of, How to communicate with the people there, how people is there?, etc…and is always differrent for example like the shows in the UNAM or in Iztapalapa are way different than the shows in Vienna or Salzburg, but we are all humans we are the same and kind of we behave the same doen´t matter where you are from.
How was the process of the band considering that you started to play in local bars, 
private parties, etc. to the moment that you are living right now?
Paco: Everything based on hard job, the same in Mexico like in Europe, here in Europe our first shows were in ocupa houses and basically we started to play for only 10 persons, 13 persons and well we kept coming and repeating the cities once and over and over and we focused a lot in our performance and show and I think that was the key to attract more people to our concerts, but well here is always different one night you can play in a city for 2000 persons, next day you play only for 100.
You are already 15 years on the road, will you make it to 25?
Paco: Sure thing! What we really love is play music and even more play concerts and now we are in a really relaxed time with the band, the problems were more at the beginning when the band was just 5 years old but we developed pretty good with the time, we know how to travel together for long journeys so we learned to live together but really together for at least 6 months a year but if the things continue like this easily we will get to the 25 years of carreer.
Instead of musician what else would you liked to be?
Paco: Historian
What do you think of our glorious mexican president and the way he is dealing with the drugs problem in Mexico?
Paco: That topic is really hard right now, In my opinion I think this war against the drugdealers should be stopped right now and start to think about legalize some drugs. I was reading in a magazine called Nexos in which suggest the mariguana´s legalization and that 60% of the money the drug cartels get is from the mariguana, even that you may think that it comes from the cocaine or another kind of drugs but the truth is that mariguana is the main product they deal with, and imagine if that 60% of their income is gone? Then they wouldn´t be able to train their people who are responsible to destroy our army and the police from wherever in Mexico, ´the article mentions that in the 1900´s the mariguana was legal and there were no problems like this, persons consumed it without a problem but then on those days they considered it was a drug and they banned it, and we have already 110 years knowing that such prohibition doesn´t work at all, in the USA happened when alcohol was ilegal and there were mafias all around alcohol and violence but as soon as it got legalized the violence stopped, and as you see is more than proven that legalization is the key to stop this war. In my opinion we should stop behaving like the little sisters of mercy and make everything a tabue and start to legalize things, like a friend says in Mexico “The mariguana doesn´t kill, but the bullets” and those bullets are all around the country and the entire population live with fear every single day and there are thousands of persons thinking about emigrate to another countries because of the situation that the country is going through and we don´t want to live in a country on war.
What is the Panteon sound system? any side project of any of you?
Paco: Panteon sound check is Dr. Shenka(Luis-vox) and he play some tunes before we play to make a good atmosphere before our concerts. But Shenka, Leonel and one of our friends have a side project called Proyecto Maconha and it´s like a sound system but kind of weird.

Dependiendo de su ultimo lanzamiento en que género clasificarias a Panteón Rococó?
Paco: Nunca hemos podido clasificarlo en realidad, yo creo que para nosotros se clasificaria como el sonido de PR no? Y por mas que hemos querido buscarle una clasificación ponernos aqui o allá pues no le hemos encontrado muy bien.
Que diferencias notan entre las organizaciones de sus giras en Europa a las que existen en México?
Paco: Es que en México estamos en tour todo el tiempo, en México tocamos regularmente de jueves a sábado y aveces en domingo y pues cada fecha es una organización diferente y pues aqui en Europa es mucho mas planeado normalmente ya las fechas estan confirmadas 6 meses antes y en sí casi todas las fechas que van a hacer y pues a logistica es asi se renta un autobus viajamos 18 personas de México y luego se nos juntan otras 3 de Alemania y pues estamos diario tocando ciudad en ciudad asi como lo trazó el manager de aca de Europa, todo ya lo fue pactando con muchisimo tiempo de anterioridad y en ese sentido es muy diferente a lo que pasa en nuestro pais en cuanto a eso, sobre todo mas aca en Europa y en Alemania que es donde mas tocamos hay un circuito muy grande en el cual se pueden tocar todos los dias, allá en México es muy dificil tocar en lunes o en martes y aqui hay lugares y escena en todas las ciudades y pues por eso puedes estar viajando en el autobus dia tras dia, y pues en México es solo los fines de semana y aqui nos aventamos un mes o mes y medio sin parar dia tras dia.
Que tan dificil es para PR estar lejos de México en todos los aspectos?
Paco: Lo que es dificil es estar lejos de la familia en realidad, para nosotros y sobretodo para los que ya tenemos familia estar lejos de nuestros hijos de nuestras esposas y no solo por el hecho de extranarlos, si no por que alla se te necesita y pues ahora sí, la familia es la que ahora si nos hace el paro de encargarse de todo y también se extrana mucho la comida como por ejemplo hoy comimos aqui en Viena en el restaurant Jalisco al cual ya hemos sido invitados varias ocasiones y la verdad es que es un respiro por que la comida de aca es rica pero es muy diferente a la de nosotros y pues si se extrana un chilito, una salsita o una tortilla.
Como varia el sentimiento de tocar para miles de europeos al sentimiento de tocar conciertos masivos en nuestro pais?
Paco: Pues la verdad es que eso nos ha dado variedad, si no tal vez ya nos hubieramos aburrido, por que aunque ya tenemos 10 anos viviendo a Europa siempre estrenamos una ciudad y es como empezar otra vez y llegar a un lugar donde nadie te conoce. En este ano va ser la primera vez que vamos a ir a Italia que nunca habiamos ido antes pues la expectativa de como comunicarse ocn el publico y preguntarse como será el público de tal o cual lugar y pues siempre es algo diferento como por ejemplo aquellos conciertos en la UNAM o en Iztapalapa pues si son muy diferentes a los de Viena o Salzburgo pero pues en realidad la gente todos somos lo mismo, somos todos seres humanos y nos comportamos mas o menos igual.
Como fue el crecimiento de Panteón? y me refiero que de haber sido una banda que tocaba en barecitos, conciertos pequenos etc… a ser una banda que cierra conciertos o festivales masivos?
Paco: Pues todo ha sido a base de trabajo no? Tanto en México como aqui en Europa en nuestras primeras giras tocabamos en muchas casas ocupa y pues empezamos ahi tocando para 10 personas, 13 personas y pues cada ano viniendo y repitiendo los lugares y pues tocando una vez y otra vez, y mas que todo echandole ganas al show fue que empezamos a subir las audiencias, aunque eso nunca acaba por que aquí puedes tocar un dia para 2000 personas al siguiente para 100 nada mas.
Ya se aventaron 15 anos de rock, creen aventarse 25?
Paco: Si seguro a nosotros lo que mas nos gusta hacer es tocar y mas que todo en vivo y estamos ahorita en un momento muy tranquilo de la banda, los problemas creo que fueron mas al principio cuando teniamos 5 anos y pues es cuando empezabamos a pelear un poco cuando la banda ya empezaba a crecer pero ahora yo veo que estamos muy tranquilos, sabemos muy bien viajar juntos. Son ya muchos anos de vivir medio ano juntos casi pegados pero realmente pegados y pues espero que si podamos llegar a los 25 anos tocando.
Si no hubieras sido músico que te hubiera gustado haber sido?
Paco: Historiador.
Que opinas de nuestro glorioso gobierno y su guerra contra el narco?
Paco: Ese es un tema bien fuerte ahora. Pues lo que opino es que se debe de parar ya la famosa guerra contra el narco que es tiempo ya de ir legalizando las cosas. Leia yo en la revista Nexos justamente el ejemplar de octubre y hablaba sobre la legalización de la mariguana y que decia que el 60% de todo el dinero que tiene el narco es dinero que sale de la mariguana a pesar de que se pueda creer que es de la cocaina o de otro tipo de drogas pero no los mayores ingresos del narco vienen de la mariguana y lo que mencionan que si les faltara a los narcos ese 60% seria una baja muy considerable en lo que ellos gastan por ejemplo en entrenar sugente, y todo lo que pagan por hacer pedazos al ejercito a la policia de cualquier lugar y habla por ejemplo que en el ano 1900 fue cuando se empezó a prohibie el uso de la mariguana y fue cuando se denominó que era una droga y etc. etc… por que antes la gente la usaba comunmente y no era problema y bueno tenemos ya 110 anos viendo que no funciona esa prohibición y por ejemplo pasó en EEUU cuando era prohibido el alcohol y existian estas mafias alrededor de eso y la violencia. Entonces esta mas que comprobado que la solucion es la legalización y dejarnos de mojigateces en el gobierno y dejarle de poner tabues a las cosas y empezar nadamas a regularlas para que ya no haya tanto muerto por que como dicen unos amigos lo que mata no es la mota si no las balas y esas estan ya por todo el pais y pues la sociedad vive con miedo y ya son muchos los que estamos pensando emigrar hacia otro lado por que tenemos hijos y no queremos vivir en un pais en guerra.
Que es el Panteón sound system? algún proyecto de alguno de ustedes?
Paco: Panteón sound system es el Dr. Shenka que toca algunos discos antes de nuestros shows y ahi hoy va a pinchar unos disquitos para hacer el ambiente antes del show. Pero lo que es Shenka, Leonel y uno de los tecnicos tienen un proyecto que se llama proyecto Maconha que es una banda que pues trata de ser como un sound system estilo pues medio raro.
